Mold Testing & Analysis

Mold often grows inside ceilings, behind walls, within floor cavities and on any porous organic material such as drywall, carpet, wood, insulation, and wallpaper. Whenever moisture occurs, be it a minor plumbing leak or major flood, there is a high chance of mold growth in as little as 48 hours. By the time you start smelling an unpleasant odor within your home, you can be sure that mold has been growing somewhere.

Indoor mold growth can negatively impact indoor air quality and pose certain health risks to the occupants. Health effects from contaminated indoor air may be experienced immediately after exposure or possibly years later. There is considerable uncertainty about what concentrations or periods of exposure are necessary to produce specific health problems so don’t wait until its too late!

Mositure Detection & Mapping

Water intrusion from flooding, sewage backup, and leaking roofs or sewer pipes can lead to the contamination of your home or business and secondary mold damage By utilizing infrared cameras, thermo hygrometers, moisture meters and moisture mapping, we are  to identify and assess the moisture intrusion to determine the source and extent of the moisture damage.

Mold Remediation Protocol

Once the assessment is complete, all findings are analyzed and compiled into to a comprehensive report and Mold Remediation Protocol which outlines a summary of our findings, causation of the damage, and a step by step remediation plan. The protocol will be broken down by each affected area with pictures and a visual aid floor plan for the remediation team to follow.

Post Remediation Verification

Flo-Air also conducts Post Remediation Verification inspections ensure that all proper remediation & sanitization steps have occurred so that your home or business has been returned to safe living condition. These inspections may include mold and bacteria testing to ensure that the areas are deemed safe.

Mold Clearance Certificate

Once your home or business passes a post remediation verification, a Mold Clearance Certificate will be provided for each affected area of the property that has been returned to a safe and healthy living condition. Clearance Certificates are generally requested by insurance carriers after mold remediation is completed and a vital piece of information when trying to sell your property in the future.
